Catholic Stuff You Should Know

So, the other day my work decided to replace my Blackberry work phone, which I am amazed they still make such ancient devices, with an iPhone. Don't get all excited, it is an iPhone 5, which to Apple lovers must be ancient. I was never a fan of Apple, but whatever, I'm less a fan of Blackberry. One cool thing about the phone is the "Podcast" app. I'm sure this will make me sound so old school since I'm certain this is not a new thing.
I typed in "Catholic" in the search because I'm not so sure what other topics I could possibly devote 0-60 minutes listening to. I found the Catholic Stuff You Should Know (CSYSK) podcast. I was at first skeptical. I owe it to years of being in trad, and at times, rad traddy circles. Whatever, I listened to an entire program which was less than 30 mins. The topic was Distributism, which I have only heard discussed among traddy Catholic circles and so I was surprised this group took it on. I appreciated the way in which these hosts, one of which is a young priest, explained such a complicated topic in such a simple and yet intelligent way. I've listened to 3 additional podcasts since. I am hooked and I hope their ministry/apostolate/hobby continues.
Personally, I have traveled the spectrum of belief, from cultural Catholicism, agnosticism, atheism, back to Christianity, back to Catholicism, lifeteen style, conservative style, traditionalism, SSPXism, pseudo-sedevacantism, and now... well, not quite sure where I fit... but I will still maintain, Catholicism or nothing... This "journey" has brought me to a point of appreciation for the entire spectrum of Catholic voices which I cannot hold are the one authentic voice, as we can all probably agree on, there can only be one authentic voice. Nevertheless, as much as I continue to appreciate the doctrinal exactness of the more traditional brand of media, I am very pleased and refreshed to now open up to this sort of media. I can tell these guys/seminarians/priests have a sincere desire to "think with the Church", even though they may not always be accurate or jive with my perception of the traditional faith... I applaud their efforts and support their work.
The Gospel is after all, about who we are, and who we are called to become, in light of natural reason and Divine Revelation. Please God, help these priests continue to be a light for us, leading us through the darkness of this world.
